We are looking for a qualified and experienced Borescope Inspector to join our Engineering Services team based in Tallinn, Estonia or remotely (hybrid).
As a Borescope Inspector, you will perform detailed internal visual inspections on assigned engines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring airworthiness and compliance with OEM and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and reporting findings through borescope inspection procedures during the engine inspection phase.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct borescope inspections on CFM56/V2500 engines, assessing turbine, compressor, and combustion sections for defects such as cracks, FOD, wear, and contamination
- Perform general visual inspections (GVI) on engines when instructed
- Interpret OEM manuals to determine engine technical condition
- Document inspection findings thoroughly, including image/video capture and technical write-ups, using digital reporting systems
- Coordinate the follow-up actions with the respective Engineers
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration records are up to date
- Ensure strict adherence to EASA regulatory standards and safety protocols
Main Requirements:
- Must have direct borescope inspection experience on CFM56 engines (both -5B and -7B variants preferred)
- Experience with any other engine type and APU BSI is considered as an advantage
- Completed BSI Inspector training from P-147 or equivalent organization
- Familiarity with OEM maintenance manuals and inspection criteria
- Proficient with borescope tools and imaging systems (e.g., GE Everest, Olympus IPLEX)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and maintain high attention to detail
- Ability to travel with short notice (mainly within Europe)
