Coaching Expectations
Coaches at Veritas Christian Academy play an important role in both thespiritual and personal development of our student-athletes.
Coaches are expected to:
- Integratebiblical principlesinto team culture and regularly pray for and with student-athletes both individually and as a team.
- Prioritize the development ofcharacter, sportsmanship, citizenship, and academic responsibilityabove simply winning competitions.
- Plan, schedule, and supervise all practices while ensuring a safe and structured environment for student-athletes.
- Emphasize player safety and respond appropriately to injuries. Minor injuries should be treated with care and documented using anIncident/Accident/Injury Report. Serious injuries must be reported promptly to theAthletic Director, trainer, and school nurse.
- Maintainconsistent and effective communicationwith players, parents, and school administration using established communication systems.
