Overview

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Business Improvement Solutions (BIS) Consultant.

Currently seeking a Business Improvement Solutions (BIS) Consultant to partner with teams across Cummings Electrical to solve business problems, improve performance, and help turn strategy into action. This mid to senior-level role will independently lead consulting workstreams, structure complex or unclear challenges, analyze information, develop recommendations, and work with stakeholders to implement practical solutions.

The Consultant is expected to bring strong consulting skills, sound judgment, curiosity, and an innovation mindset to help the organization make better decisions and create measurable business value.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Lead consulting engagements and workstreams from discovery through implementation.
• Partner with leaders and employees to define problems, goals, scope, and expected outcomes.
• Gather and analyze business, operational, financial, process, and performance information.
• Turn complex or incomplete information into clear insights and recommendations.
• Develop business cases, roadmaps, future-state approaches, and implementation plans.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and decision-making discussions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, operating models, technology, data, automation, and ways of working.
• Challenge assumptions and explore innovative approaches when better solutions may exist.
• Communicate findings, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
• Coordinate actions across teams and help move recommendations into implementation.
• Track outcomes and help determine whether solutions deliver the intended value.
• Build strong relationships and credibility across departments and levels of the organization.
• Coach teams in structured problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Experience & Qualifications

Preferred experience includes:

• 3–5 years of consulting, advisory, strategy, transformation, or related professional services experience.
• Experience independently leading client-facing or internal consulting workstreams.
• Experience structuring and solving complex or ambiguous business problems.
• Experience conducting analysis and translating findings into recommendations.
• Experience developing presentations, business cases, roadmaps, or other decision-support materials.
• Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder discussions, or working sessions.
• Experience managing stakeholders with differing priorities or perspectives.
• Experience supporting implementation, transformation, or change efforts.
• Experience working across multiple functions or business areas.

A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, data, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant consulting experience may also be considered.
