Overview
FMI’s Leadership and Organizational Development Practice is seeking a passionate and collaborative Business Operations Manager to support the Leadership & Organizational Development (LOD) practice. This role will partner with LOD leadership to execute strategic priorities, strengthen operations, and build scalable processes that support continued growth.

FMI is seeking a Business Operations Manager to support the Leadership & Organizational Development (LOD) practice. This role will partner with LOD leadership to execute strategic priorities, strengthen operations, and build scalable processes that support continued growth. This is a build-and-improve role focused on creating structure, improving processes, and using data to help leaders make informed decisions.
This is a full-time position which can be remote but with preference given to candidates located near FMI’s Raleigh, NC or Denver, CO offices.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate strategic priorities, track progress, and drive follow-through across the practice.
- Improve staffing and workforce planning by connecting consultant capacity with project demand.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring needs and improve hiring and onboarding processes.
- Manage and improve recurring practice operations, systems, and workflows.
- Develop reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into staffing, performance, and business needs.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen how the practice operates.
- Build alignment across stakeholders and keep priorities moving forward.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, practice management, program management, internal consulting, or a related field.
- Experience building and improving operational processes and systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
- Comfortable working in a growing environment with evolving priorities.
- Experience with Salesforce, reporting platforms, or business intelligence tools is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel throughout the United States.
