Butler Responsibilities – Private Household Service & Luxury Hospitality Careers

• Deliver attentive and proactive butler services for principals and their guests, ensuring all requests and routines are fulfilled with precision and discretion.
• Organise and oversee household operations including formal dining service, event set-up, guest arrivals, and daily schedules.
• Maintain immaculately presented common areas, guest rooms, and service spaces in line with exacting standards of cleanliness and order.
• Coordinate and supervise household activities, including liaising with kitchen, cleaning, security, and external service providers.
• Assist with wardrobe management, laundry, packing/unpacking, and personal shopping as required by the principals.
• Plan and manage table settings, décor, and the delivery of food and beverages during formal and informal occasions.
• Anticipate the preferences, routines, and priorities of household members, remaining flexible to changing schedules and ad hoc requests.
• Oversee the preparation and execution of special events, dinners, and seasonal gatherings.

Essential Skills & Experience for Private Butler Jobs

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a private residence, luxury hotel, or similar high-end hospitality or service setting.
