Job Title: Buyer
Job Description:
Responsible for executing and coordinating sourcing/procurement actions to support GE Power Advanced Manufacturing Works organization. Buyer will place and manage purchase orders for materials, equipment, and supplies from pre-identified suppliers.
Key responsibilities include: Creating purchase orders, expediting and tracking orders, managing receipts and invoices and resolving any discrepancies, creating and tracking both domestic and international shipments, managing supplier database through internal workflows.
The GE Power Advanced Manufacturing Works (AMW) facility is the bridge between the research lab and production allowing the implementation of innovative ideas and advanced technology, facilitating the seamless entry into production, and increasing speed to market.

Processes supported at AMW include additive 3D printing in both metal and polymer materials, a prototype shop with state-of-the-art equipment including milling, grinding, lathe, EDM, and waterjet machines, and a one-of-a kind ceramics lab.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Purchasing Experience
• Ability to Work in Fast Paced Environment
• Extensive Windows PC Experience
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Willingness to take Initiative
