Job Description Summary:

Plans, implements, and evaluates the provision of optimal medical care to patient in the center.

Description:

Location: Albany, Dougherty County, Georgia; Americus, Sumter County, Georgia

Duties: As a cardiologist, employee will diagnose, treat, and provide continuous care to hospitalized patients, which includes delivering and coordinating the care for heart and blood vessel conditions, prescribing medications, performing procedures, and ordering and interpreting the results of lab tests and radiographs.

Minimum Requirements: Doctor of Medicine degree or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited U.S. medical school (or the foreign equivalent degree); completion of 3-year internal medicine residency and 3-year cardiovascular disease fellowship; must have an active or pending Georgia medical license; must have passed all parts of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) OR the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX); must have certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates; must be board eligible in internal medicine.
