As a Caregiver at our Waikanae village you will work as part of our compassionate team in the Memory Care Centre, where we deliver high-quality, resident-directed care for people living with dementia. Our secure, specialist environment supports safety while promoting a fulfilling and enjoyable lifestyle, with each resident’s quality of life at the heart of everything we do. Our care is resident-directed, meaning we tailor care and support to each individual’s preferences, values, and needs

This is a full time position, working AM/PM shifts on a 4 on 2 off roster.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Experience with dementia care
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
