At San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi, our Cargo Cashiers play an important role in ensuring cargo transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. This position combines customer service, cash handling, documentation, and coordination with the cargo team.

What You’ll Do

• Process cargo shipments, invoices, and receipts
• Accurately calculate cargo charges and fees
• Receive and process cash, card, and other approved payments
• Provide customers with accurate change and receipts
• Verify cargo documentation and shipment information
• Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and payments
• Reconcile cash and transactions at the end of each shift
• Assist customers with cargo rates, procedures, and payment requirements
• Coordinate with Cargo Agents to resolve discrepancies or issues
• Follow company cash-handling and cargo procedures

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus

Experience

• Cashier, customer service, sales, or related experience is an asset
• Cash-handling experience is an advantage
• Cargo or logistics experience is a plus
• Training will be provided
