Job Duties:

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Confident in measuring and the use of tape measures, levels, and angle finding
• Ability to use power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, etc.
• Building pressure treated, cedar and composite/PVC decks, stairs, fences, privacy screens, pergolas, benches, gates, etc.
• Construct decks, fences, pergolas, and concrete framework
• Enforce policies and procedures for all on site personnel
• Snow removal in the winter

Terms of Employment:

• Full time permanent
• Language of work: English
• Wage: $37.50/Hr, annual bonuses
• Benefits package offered: Medical extended benefits after 3 months, company will pay 50%. Dental plan after 3 months, company will pay 50%.

Skills /Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 3+ years experience as a carpenter
• Intermediate First Aid Certificate
• Ground Disturbance II
• CSTS 2020
• Whmis 2015
• Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
• Have a valid class 5 driver's license (or class 3 or class 1)
• Have a clean drivers abstract (3 or less demerits)
• Capable of working with minimum supervision
• Motivated, hard working, punctual
• Physically fit
• Familiar with the maintenance and use of various woodworking tools (table saw, mitre saw, circular saw, drills, etc.)
• Gas powered tool maintenance and operation
• Safe truck and trailer loading and operation
