Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our dynamic retail team. The Cashier will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing sales transactions. This role requires attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to handle cash and electronic payments with precision. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude. 

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service at the checkout area.
• Accurately process cash, credit, and digital payment transactions.
• Scan items and ensure pricing is correct according to the store’s system.
• Handle customer inquiries and assist with product information or locating merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy checkout area at all times.
• Balance cash register drawers and prepare daily transaction reports.

Qualifications

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is desirable but not required.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
