Network Engineer will be involved in a DevOps and Service Reliability Engineering role where you will deliver 24/7 administration and support for business owners. This career opportunity requires a solid understanding of Cisco and Linux technology. Must have 2 years real world IT Support experience with a broad range of technologies and skills.
Qualifications
- Cisco CCNP Switching and Routing equivalent level knowledge
- Cisco Catalyst (preferably 6500 series) experience
- Cisco Content Switching Module
- ASA/PIX Firewall Service Module
- Cisco ASA Firewalls and VPN
- Competency with an administrative language such as perl, python or ruby
- Familiarity with application protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SIP
- 1+ years of experience administering and supporting linux based systems
- Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, preferably RHEL/CentOS
- Familiarity with infrastructure orchestration and automation, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on collaboration between team members and other teams.
Additional skills:
- Familiarity with Solaris & Windows
- Familiarity with virtualization , preferably Citrix XenServer or open source Xen
- Familiarity with monitoring systems (Zenoss, Nagios, etc.)
- Familiarity with enterprise storage systems such as NetApp systems
- Familiarity with AWS services EC2, S3 & Route 53
- Familiarity with NoSQL technologies, preferably MongoDB
- Familiarity using and administering Apache HTTP, Nginx, Memcache, Varnish, MySQL, Posfix, FreeSwitch
- Familiarity with the ELK stack, elasticsearch, logstash and kibana
- Familiarity with performance, profiling and analytics tools like New Relic or AppDynamics
