Your Role as Truck Driver

Local Delivery Truck Drivers will be responsible for a vital role of safely and efficiently delivering goods to destinations across local areas providing excellent service and building relationships with current customers.

Key Job Description:

  • Safely operate and maneuver delivery trucks in urban and suburban environments.
  • Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring the proper handling of goods.
  • Securely tie down cargo using straps, chains, or other securing devices to prevent shifting during transit.
  • Inspect cargo to ensure it is properly loaded and secured according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and report any maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, reviewing orders, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, and colleagues to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns.
  • Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and delivery guidelines.
  • Manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and respond promptly to unexpected delays or changes in schedule.
  • Uphold a clean and organized work environment, both inside the truck and at delivery locations.

Requirements:

  • Must have valid commercial driver’s (CDL) with a clean MVR.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must have a valid DOT medical card.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift.
