Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) who are established in their own mental health or substance use recovery. This role provides recovery-based peer support, guidance, and encouragement to clients, helping them build independence, social connections, and successful participation in their communities.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide peer support grounded in personal recovery experience.

· Empower clients with self-help strategies and coping tools.

· Assist clients with referrals to housing, social services, and community resources.

· Help clients build social skills and confidence for community engagement.

· Support clients in achieving personal goals and independence.

Qualifications

· North Carolina Peer Support Certification (NC CPSS) required prior to hire.

· Minimum of 2 years in personal recovery from mental health or substance use challenges.

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal vehicle.

· Access to a smartphone, laptop, etc. for communication and documentation purposes.
