Chief Accountant

As Chief Accountant you will be responsible for operational accounting oversight, process optimization, team leadership, and active collaboration with the company’s headquarters and internal stakeholders.

This is a on-site job. Candidates must be located in Kyiv.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

1. Accounting & Tax Management

• Oversee the full cycle of accounting and tax reporting of the Company, including period closing and operational control.

• Coordinate the work of the accounting team and ensure effective collaboration with operational departments.

• Maintain regular communication with the Company’s headquarters, providing accurate and timely responses to all requests.

• Cooperate with the Financial Controller on analytical and reporting matters.

• Ensure accuracy of accounting data across systems and manage reconciliation processes.

2. Systems, Processes & Optimization

• Actively participate in the improvement and optimization of accounting processes.

• Define requirements and coordinate integration tasks for accounting systems.

• Lead and support the development and maintenance of accounting processes in NetSuite.

• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and methodological guidelines.

• Participate in IFRS implementation projects and ensure alignment with head office rules and standards.

3. Compliance, Audit & Controls

• Organize and supervise inventory processes.

• Support external audits.

• Manage processes related to currency control, international trade (foreign economic activity), and export operations.

• Perform other tasks related to financial function development and compliance.

Requirements

What you bring to the team:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Accounting Team Lead.

• Strong managerial experience and team coordination skills.

• Deep knowledge of national accounting and tax legislation.

• Proven experience with IFRS.

• Conversational English (preferably Upper‑Intermediate or higher).

• Experience working with multiple accounting systems;

• Experience in manufacturing companies (significant plus).

• Participation in audits with Big Four audit firms (big advantage).

• Experience with currency control, international trade and export operations.

• Background in large enterprises with complex structures and multilayered accounting (advantage).
