CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

General Responsibilities: The Chief Financial Officer has executive responsibility and authority for the financial functions of Whitfield Regional Hospital. Provides leadership, direction, and administration of the daily financial operations to ensure a cost effective and efficient healthcare operation, along with supporting high quality, economical healthcare services. Responsible for accounting and financial reporting, corporate finance and treasury functions, management of information systems, materials management, revenue cycle, and health information systems. Provides executive leadership and the management of financial resources to ensure achievement of business plans and objectives, and to preserve the assets and financial standing of the company. Serves as a key member of the hospital’s executive leadership team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business and five (5) years in a health care finance senior level position required.
• Master’s Degree in Business or Accounting strongly preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hospital finance and accounting practices. Physician practice accounting knowledge preferred.
• Strong knowledge of information technology and cost management systems preferred.
