As a Chief Steward you will supervise and ensure smooth daily stewarding operations.
Your key responsibilities
Rocco Forte Hotels are a collection of iconic hotels that respects the individuality of location and its team members, encouraging them to be their natural selves while providing a local, authentic experience to our guests.
As a valued part of the Forte family, you will:
Plan, organize, and supervise stewarding activities, ensuring efficient workflow, appropriate task allocation, and staff scheduling
Perform administrative duties related to the department
Work operationally
Ensure compliance with cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety procedures
Ensure the continuous availability of clean and hygienic equipment, utensils, and tableware for both the kitchen and dining areas
Manage inventory efficiently, including crockery, cutlery, serving ware, cleaning products, dishwashing equipment, and work uniforms. Monitor the use of detergents and cleaning supplies, place orders, manage the departmental budget, conduct inventory counts, and record breakages and consumption
Participate in operational meetings and coordination with department managers.
Provide input and recommendations during the recruitment and selection of new employees
Report to the Head Chef
