Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher – Full-Time ($13–$18/hr)

PAY: $13-$18/hour

SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Angie's Angels Child Development is seeking a full-time Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children, wants hands-on experience in childcare, and is interested in growing in the field of early childhood education.

We are hiring for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. Classroom placement is based on experience, interests, and current center needs.

Typical schedule: Most positions follow a consistent daytime schedule (for example, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) within center hours of 5:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

What You Will Do

As a Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside classroom leaders to provide a safe, nurturing, engaging environment and support children throughout their daily routines and learning experiences.

• Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
• Help prepare and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning and play activities
• Supervise children during play, learning, meals, outdoor time, and transitions
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment
• Assist with classroom documentation and daily records
• Communicate respectfully with families and team members
• Follow state licensing requirements and center policies
• Work collaboratively with classroom and center leadership to support consistent program quality

Qualifications

Required

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention

Preferred - not required

• Previous experience working with children, including childcare, daycare, preschool, school, camp, or similar settings
• Interest in early childhood education or child development
• CDA (Child Development Associate)
• Dependable, patient, caring, and team-oriented attitude

No formal childcare experience is required - we will train the right candidate who is dependable, caring, and eager to learn.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs
• Ability to actively supervise children throughout the day
