Summary of Responsibilities:
The Church Life Coordinator role exists to bring administrative and coordination support to the Church Life Team. By working directly with the Church Life Director, this role will help create and support the experience of our students’ spiritual development by shaping their experiences at their respective Church of the Highlands campuses. This role is primarily focused on Sunday Experience and Small Groups. Furthermore, this role will bring general administrative support to other facets of the Spiritual Development Team.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide daily assistance, administration and project management for the Church Life
Director.
a. Work with the Church Life Team to provide administrative support.
b. Collaborate with the Church Life Team to bring ideas and improvements to
programming and processes.
c. Monitor and report on key performance metrics through scorecards aligned with the
Spiritual Development pillar and Church Life department.
d. Design and manage Blackboard discussion content to effectively capture and reflect
students' spiritual growth and engagement in church life.
e. Establish and communicate clear expectations, timelines, and accountability
measures for student participation.
f. Oversee the evaluation process by grading submissions and providing meaningful,
growth-oriented feedback.
g. Analyze student data to identify trends in spiritual development throughout the
semester.
h. Track and report key performance metrics through scorecards aligned with the
Spiritual Development pillar and Church Life department.
i. Identify and implement improved systems and strategies for measuring and
capturing spiritual growth.
2. Small Group Support
a. Partner with campus leadership to recruit, develop, and retain high-quality small group
leaders while overseei n the organization of group rosters.
b. Collaborate cross-departmentally to design and implement training and equipping
strategies for leaders each semester.
c. Oversee the development and distribution of key leader resources, including master
rosters, academic calendars, care pathways, and clearly defined expectations.
d. Drive leader engagement and alignment through bi-annual trainings, consistent
communication, and ongoing support throughout the semester.
e. Ensure data integrity by coordinating with Highlands campuses to maintain accurate
attendance reporting within Blackboard.
f. Document student participation (including Freedom) and small group leadership to
ensure graduation requirements are accurately recorded.
Other Duties
- Provide administrative support as needed in seasonal projects across the Spiritual Development Department.
- Participate in ministry at Church of the Highlands and Highlands College by leading small groups.
- Affirm and uphold the Statement of Faith and the Core Values and DNA of the College, exemplifying all by word and lifestyle.
