Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team across all wards. This is a part-time role of 30 hours per week.

You will be passionate about supporting others and helping your team succeed, ensuring cleaning services are delivered to operational standards. Working days and hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Friday 10 am-4 pm, Wednesday 07.30-13.30 and Sunday 9am-3pm
Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal, Stockport is an inpatient mental health service for young people and adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsbury railway stations approximately 1–2 miles from the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising a team of cleaning staff to deliver high standards across the site
- Planning and coordinating staff rotas to ensure continuity of service
- Supporting recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of team members
- Monitoring cleaning standards and ensuring compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
- Managing stock, equipment, and supplies, including ordering and stock control
- Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or hazards
- Supporting training and ensuring team compliance with required standards
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- Good standard of English, with basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Previous experience in a cleaning role, ideally within a healthcare or similar environment
- Experience within a hospital/hotel environment together with some supervisory experience
- Good understanding of health & safety, COSHH, and cleaning standards
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team positively
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage workloads effectively
- Good attention to detail
Physical stamina to carry out an active role throughout the day
