Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Client Service Associate for a top ** Boutique RIA (Registered Investment Advisor)** in Towson, MD.

This critical operational role manages the full client lifecycle, from sophisticated onboarding and account opening to complex service requests and office operations. Working within a warm, collaborative, and close-knit team, the Associate ensures that brokerage accounts, 529 plans, and annuities are established and funded with 100% accuracy. The ideal candidate is a "fintech-savvy" professional who thrives in a small-office environment and is passionate about process improvement and high-touch client advocacy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Client Onboarding: Direct the full intake process, including distributing and tracking forms, verifying information, and ensuring accounts are properly transferred and funded.
  • Account Management: Open new brokerage accounts, 529 plans, and annuities; set up online portal access and confirm delivery of all regulatory notices.
  • Service & Support: Coordinate beneficiary updates, address changes, and asset movements; troubleshoot client portal issues and manage all service items to completion.
  • Technical Operations: Maintain and update client data within CRM and portfolio systems; work directly with custodians, broker-dealers, and insurance carriers to resolve complex issues.
  • Practice Optimization: Implement and document office procedures; oversee client billing reconciliation and ensure billing accuracy with the broker-dealer.
  • Compliance Support: Manage advisor licensing and registration processes and serve as the primary point of contact for broker-dealer audits.
  • Advisory Partnership: Partner closely with advisors to ensure timely follow-ups and provide administrative backup as needed to maintain high service standards.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Finance or a related business field.

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of RIA or broker-dealer operations experience within a financial advisory practice.
  • Proven experience in account opening, asset transfers, and distribution processing.
  • Experience working in a small-office environment is highly preferred.

Skills & Technology

  • Fintech Proficiency: Familiarity with platforms such as ** Wealthscape, Redtail, eMoney, PreciseFP, and Albridge** is ideal.
  • Technical: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF editing tools.
