Clinical Nurse - General Medical Wards

Our Short Stay Medical/ Surgical Ward is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team providing care to a range of patient conditions. As a Clinical Nurse on a Short Stay Medical/Surgical Ward, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and expert bedside care, specializing in the complex pre-and post-operative management of patients undergoing general medical/surgical  treatments and recovery.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will be required to act as a team leader, professional resource, passionate mentor, and a positive role model to junior team members. You will maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and manage rapidly changing situations with proficiency and care.

This leadership role will see the successful candidate be fully supported to enhance their skills and grow a career into a management position.

About You
You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 4 years post graduate experience in a medical/surgical ward
• Relevant post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded
• A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance
• Clinical leadership experience is desirable
• Proficient clinical skills that support both medical/surgical patients. Experience and competency with IV cannulation, PICC/POC access, PCA infusions and surgical dressings is highly desirable.
