Clinical Nurse Specialist - Pediatrics, Adolescent and Young Adults

Key Qualifications:

• Current NY RN license with CNS qualification required (NJ State RN and CNS qualification preferred, can be obtained during the first 6 months of employment)

• RNs currently enrolled in a CNS program may be considered at the CN IV level pending receipt of NYS CNS licensure

• Master's in Nursing

• National certification

• 3+ years of related pediatricand/or adolescent and young adults experience

• Experience in an advanced nursing role isstronglypreferred

• Oncology experiencestronglypreferred

• Self-direction and strong interpersonal skills are essential

Core Skills:

• Provide clinical leadership in the areas of evidence-based oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research.

• Provide support to MSK's patients with cancer diagnosis and the nursing staff who care for them.

• Coordinate implementation of practice standards with colleagues across sites.

• Demonstrate positive quality outcomes as it relates to nurse-sensitive indicators and patient and staff satisfaction.

• Promote a patient-centered environment through collaboration with nursing leaders and multidisciplinary teams.

• Support and cultivate Relationship Based Care in all aspects of care delivery.

• Disseminate MSK oncology nursing practice standards and outcomes through abstract submission, podium presentation and evidence-based research findings.

• Schedule: 4 x10-hour shifts day shift, with weekend coverage.

• Location: Main Campus, 1275 York Avenue

• Reports To: Associate Director, Nursing

Pay Range: $136,400.00 - $225,100.00FSLA Status: Exempt
