About the role
- The Pharmacist is responsible for safely dispensing prescription medications and providing clinical expertise to patients and healthcare professionals. What you'll do
- Review and interpret physician orders; compound, label, and dispense medications safely.
- Monitor drug therapies and provide patient counseling and clinical intervention recommendations.
- Direct and verify pharmacy technicians’ workflow, medication preparation, and order accuracy.
- Maintain compliant records, manage controlled substances, and uphold all state/federal regulations (Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA).
- Support immunizations, wellness screenings, and other patient-facing clinical services.
- Educate healthcare staff, students, and interns through training and participation in clinical programs.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and infection-controlled pharmacy environment while contributing to team goals.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Current pharmacist license in good standing with the Utah State Board of Pharmacy.
- Must hold or obtain active pharmacist licensure in Nevada and Utah (additional states may be required in the future).
- Confident in making clinical decisions independently.
- Flexibility to evolve in a dynamic working environment.
- Proficient with learning new computer systems and using multiple monitors.
- 0–2 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist.
