Cloud Software Engineer

Role Summary

Cloud Software Engineer at designing and delivering solutions for key initiatives with strong analytical and development skills with strategic and technical responsibilities.
This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
Position Details

About the role:

• Working with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.

• Planning, design based on functional requirements and developing cloud-based applications to address business needs.

• Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.

• Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

• Lead and develop best practices for larger Cloud Engineer team.

• Continuously researches emerging technologies and proposes changes to the existing architecture by evaluating and recommending tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.

• Collaborate with peer organizations, quality assurance and end users to produce cutting-edge software solutions.

• Troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently and possess ability fix technical issues as they arise.

• Analyzes the business impact that certain technical choices may have on a client’s business processes.

• Lead a diverse group of project stakeholders and members towards the successful delivery of a project.

About You:

• 2-4 years of experience in software development required with hands on experience in coding using Python/java/C++/Nodejs.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in working on cloud based eco system like AWS, GCP or equivalent.
• Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification a plus.
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes and other types of Microservices and Container technologies.
• Determines coding practices, development tools, and validation requirements.
• Deep understanding of Application, Infrastructure, and security architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability of a system.
• Expert in defining, designing, and developing distributed and scalable products and services, including reusable domain-specific microservices on multi-platform /hybrid clouds (such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge and/or experience on designing, developing, deploying, and CI/CD in a DevOps environment.
• Strong collaborator – willingness to share ideas, documentation, and leading practices.
• Conceptual and analytical thinker – ability to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies.
