CNC Steel Fabrication Machine Operator

• Set up and adjust machine settings for accurate, efficient operation.

• Measure materials and verify dimensions against specifications.

• Select the correct material type, stock size, and dimensions for each job.

• Mark materials with the required part information.

• Track daily production and material usage.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Experience operating a CNC plasma table or performing sawing, drilling, or cutting operations is required.

• Experience with one or more of the following machines is preferred:

  • Kinetic Plasma Table

  • Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line

  • Peddinghaus Angle Master

  • Ficep Beamline

  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately to within 1/16 inch.

  • Basic math skills and the ability to interpret blueprints, symbols, and notes preferred.

  • Experience safely operating overhead cranes and material transfer/conveyor systems.

  • Tekla PowerFab experience preferred.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in hot and cold industrial environments.

First- and second-shift opportunities are available. Second-shift employees receive an additional $3.00 per hour shift differential.
