CNO Engineer

As a CNO Engineer on the SAS Mobile team, you’ll play a critical role designing, developing, and deploying tools that enhance mission’s ability to operate and defend across cyber and communications domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex software systems using C and related technologies.
• Engineer and integrate advanced features focused on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication protocols.
• Conduct reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis to enhance system resilience and mission effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and CNO specialists to design secure, mission-ready software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous integration activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to research and prototyping efforts for next-generation mobile and embedded systems.

Salary 120k - 180k+

Requirements

Required Qualifications

1. Relevant software development experience in C for mobile or embedded target environments.
2. 3+ years developing cybersecurity or CNO-specific software solutions.
3. Experience in reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis.
4. Experience with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies.
5. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
6. Strong understanding of secure software development principles and system-level programming.
7. Holds an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
8. Eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with mobile or embedded development environments.
• Experience with network protocol analysis and reverse engineering tools.
• Knowledge of RF technologies, signal analysis, or low-level communication stacks.
• Experience working closely with cybersecurity and CNO specialists in a mission environment, including partnering with exploit developers, vulnerability researchers, or secure software teams.
