Coating supervisor ( Oil & Gas Industry)

ABIS is seeking a qualified Coating Supervisor for our Oil & Gas industry projects. The Coating Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the application of coatings to infrastructure and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. This role involves directing coating crews, coordinating with quality control inspectors, and monitoring the progress of coating activities on-site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing coating operations within the oil and gas sector and a strong commitment to safety and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day coating operations to ensure timely and quality completion.
• Coordinate with site engineers, QA/QC teams, and contractors to fulfill project requirements.
• Ensure all coating activities adhere to safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Conduct inspections to monitor surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to coating works.
• Train and mentor coating crew members to improve performance and compliance with procedures.
• Identify and resolve issues during coating operations to minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Coating Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience supervising coating activities in the oil and gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of coating materials, surface preparation, and application techniques.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NACE, SSPC, and relevant safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
