Commercial Construction Project Manager
San Jose, CA | Onsite | $130K–$200K + Bonus
We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join a growing Bay Area general contractor. This is a hands-on PM role with full ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout/customer move-in.
Projects range from approximately $250K to $60M and include life science, commercial/industrial construction, tenant improvements, and seismic/structural work.
What You’ll Do
- Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Handle estimating, proposals, quantity takeoffs, job walks and subcontractor buyout
- Manage contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals and project documentation
- Own project schedules, monthly billings, invoices and financial tracking
- Lead owner/contractor meetings and coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects and engineers
- Identify project issues early and keep schedules, budgets and deliverables on track
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Engineer or Assistant PM
- Strong commercial construction / General Contractor background
- Experience managing projects from start to finish
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, subcontractor management and construction documents
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project and Excel
- Knowledge of AIA documentation and Sage 100 Contractor is a plus
- California driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Commercial experience required, residential-only backgrounds will not be considered

- $130K–$200K base salary, depending on experience
