Commercial Executive

DhakaOn-siteFull-time

AI Summary

A junior Commercial Executive owns the commercial documentation and shipment cycle for garments made in Bangladesh, liaising between factory, buyers, forwarders and agents to ensure orders ship on time.

About this role

Nitex is a design-forward fashion supply chain company. We manage the full cycle from design to manufacturing, with certified factories in Bangladesh, and we work with brands like Inditex, Next, Zalando, and LPP, from offices in Dhaka, London, and Barcelona.

Every order we ship passes through this role first: the invoice, the packing list, the booking, the handover. Get it right and the shipment moves on time. Get it wrong and it sits at the port. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the full order cycle from the inside, fast, and take ownership of it early.

Read This Before You Apply

We hire for the wiring, not the CV. This is a junior seat with real responsibility early. We look for someone accurate, hungry, and steady, who learns fast and flags a problem the moment they see it. One to two years at a garments or freight-forwarding company is a strong start. The rest of this page tells you exactly who we want.

The Role

You sit between the factory and the buyer, and between the paperwork and the shipment. Nothing moves out of the country without touching your desk first.

You own the commercial documentation and the shipment cycle for the orders we make in Bangladesh. From the PO to the handover, you keep the paperwork right and the shipment moving. You work with the factory, our overseas offices, forwarders, and C&F agents, and you are the check between what the factory promises and what actually leaves the country.

This is where the order becomes real. The design is done and the garments are made. Your job is to get them out of the country clean and on time, order after order.

What You Will Actually Do

  • Prepare invoices and packing lists, by hand and on buyer and admin portals.
  • Run the full order cycle with the factory: PO, PI, and sales contract issuance, through order execution, shipment booking, handover, and documentation.
  • Chase forwarders and C&F agents, by portal and by phone, until transport is booked and the shipment moves on time, with accurate documents behind it.
  • Keep buyers and our overseas offices in the loop with regular, clear updates on shipment and payment status.
  • Track every order and map every shipment in our internal reporting system, so the tracker matches what is actually happening at the port.

Why This Seat Matters

A shipment is only as good as its paperwork. A wrong invoice, a missed HS code, or a booking made a day late can hold a container at the port and cost the account real money. You are the check between what the factory promises and what actually leaves the country. Get the basics right, fast, and you own more of the cycle early.

Every Order, On Time

Every order we ship for Inditex, Next, Zalando, and LPP passes through this desk first. The right paperwork, booked on time, tracked to the port. That is the promise this seat keeps.

Who We Are Looking For

We hire for the wiring first. This is a junior seat, so we care most about how you work: accurate, hungry, and steady when something goes wrong.

The Mindset (Non-Negotiable)

  • You take document accuracy seriously. A wrong document here costs us money and costs the buyer trust. You check, and then you check again.
  • Ownership, and initiative. Once you know the basics, you run the cycle without being told twice. You do not wait for a brief.
  • You flag problems early. When something has gone wrong, you say so straight away. You do not go quiet.
  • Steady, and flexible. Shipments run on the factory, forwarder, and buyer clock, across time zones, not a fixed nine-to-five.
  • Hungry to learn. You want the full order cycle in your hands, and you pick it up fast.

The Kind of Background That Fits

This is an early-career seat. One to two years in the right place matters more than a long CV.

  • One to two years of experience, ideally at a garments manufacturing facility.
  • Good communication in both English and Bengali, written and spoken.
  • Experience at a freight-forwarding company is highly valued.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours across time zones, on the factory schedule.

Do Not Apply If

  • You need a fixed nine-to-five and cannot flex around factory, forwarder, or buyer time zones.
  • You want to be told exactly what to do every time. This job runs on initiative once you know the basics.
  • You go quiet when something has gone wrong instead of flagging it immediately.
  • Document accuracy is not something you take seriously. A wrong document here costs money and costs the buyer trust.

Success, Reward, and How to Apply

What good looks like, how you are paid, and what to send.

What Success Looks Like:

First 30 days You understand how a PO becomes a booked, handed-over shipment end to end, and you can prepare a clean invoice and packing list without help.

First 90 days Forwarders and C&F agents know you will be on top of documents and dates before they have to ask. Buyers get shipment and payment updates before they have to chase you.

Ongoing Nothing slips because you did not follow up. The tracker is always right, because you keep it right.

How You Are Paid

A base that reflects the market and the role. As you prove yourself, your pay grows and you earn ownership in what you build through stock. We pay for the work and we promote on it. Get good fast, and you will not be junior for long.

How to Apply

Do not send a CV alone. Send your CV and short, specific answers to the questions below during submission. We read the answers first.

Q1- A time you caught a mistake in a document or a number before it became a problem. What it was, and how you caught it.

Q2- A time something went wrong on your watch. What you did the moment you realized.

Q3- A time you had to chase people, by phone or portal, to get something done on time. What it took.

Q4- Why this role, in Dhaka, learning the full order cycle from the inside, on the factory schedule. Be direct.

A Note on How We Hire

We hire for the wiring, then the skill. We would rather hire someone accurate and hungry with a gap we can teach than a longer CV with a nine-to-five mindset.
