Your New Role

• Work as a Commercial Plumbing Estimator for Salas Plumbing Inc. in Plano, TX 75093

• Work fully onsite with occasional visits to commercial project sites

• Complete detailed commercial plumbing takeoffs using project plans, specifications, and bid documents

• Manage assigned bids and general contractor relationships throughout the estimating process

• Organize estimating folders, plans, specifications, bid documents, and other project information

• Prepare and complete accurate commercial plumbing estimates while meeting required bid deadlines

• Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and construction documents to determine project scope and requirements

• Coordinate estimating-related information and communications with the estimating team and other stakeholders

• Maintain ownership of assigned estimates and ensure bid information remains accurate, complete, and organized

• Support project handoff after award to help ensure a smooth transition from estimating to project execution

• Represent Salas Plumbing’s standards for quality, customer focus, leadership, safety, and teamwork

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience

• 3+ years of relevant commercial plumbing or estimating experience preferred

• Journeyman / Master Plumber license or equivalent commercial plumbing field experience preferred

• Commercial plumbing, estimating, or other relevant trade experience

• Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, installation practices, and construction processes

• Ability to read and interpret plumbing plans, blueprints, specifications, and related construction documents

• Ability to complete commercial plumbing takeoffs and estimates accurately

• Ability to organize and manage assigned bids, estimating documents, and deadlines

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned estimating responsibilities

• Trimble, AutoBid Mechanical, or similar estimating/takeoff software experience preferred
