Commercial Service Plumber

Position Summary:

A commercial service plumber plays a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and installing plumbing systems in commercial buildings. They are required to complete jobs as assigned to them..

Required Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• At least 5 years’ experience maintaining and repairing all types of commercial plumbing systems.

• Possession of all basic plumbing hand tools.
• Demonstrate willingness to invest time in service training seminars and classes.

• Demonstrate commitment to developing customer service skills.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, through assessments.
• Familiarity and commitment to job-site safety
• Work from up to 28’ extension ladder and 12’ step ladder.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools safely.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and fix issues with plumbing systems such as leaks, clogs, broken pipes, or malfunctioning fixtures.
• Install new plumbing systems, fixtures, pipes, and appliances according to building codes and blueprints.
• Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Identify problems by using testing equipment, understanding blueprints, and consulting with clients or building managers.
• Communicate with clients or building managers to understand their plumbing needs, explaining repairs or installations, and providing estimates for services.
• Always maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

• Ensure all work meets relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Using existing software, provide detailed records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, or colleagues on larger projects.
• Be available for emergency plumbing services outside of regular working hours.
• Stay updated on advancements in plumbing technology, techniques, and regulations through training and professional development.
• Mastery of all common of service tools and testing devices.
• Other duties as assigned.
