We are seeking driven, intellectually curious individuals to join our growing Commodities team.  

Role Overview

This role is best suited for an individual with a genuine and deep-seated passion for commodities and someone who seeks to move beyond simply tracking prices to understand the underlying physical realities, market structures, and behavioral forces that shape them. The ideal candidate demonstrates intellectual curiosity about how global energy flows, supply and demand dynamics, and geopolitical developments influence market behavior and pricing.

The internship offers hands-on exposure to energy market analysis, trading support, and portfolio management within a dynamic, data-driven hedge fund environment. It provides a strong foundation for individuals aspiring to build a career in commodities trading, research, or portfolio strategy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research and analysis on commodity markets (natural gas, power etc.).
• Develop and maintain supply-demand models and trading strategies.
• Monitor market trends, policy developments, and global macroeconomic indicators.
• Collaborate with senior traders and portfolio managers to execute and manage trades.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to support investment decisions.
• Prepare and present research, forecasts, and portfolio performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk management and trading policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Pursuing an MBA, or a Master’s or Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest and passion for commodities markets, particularly natural gas and power.
• Strong programming skills in Python or another object-oriented or functional programming language.
• Knowledge of derivatives and commodities markets.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
