Velocity Investments is seeking a highly analytical, technically skilled Compliance Analyst to support regulatory oversight, compliance monitoring, licensing, examinations, and risk assessment. This role transforms servicing and operational data into meaningful compliance reporting, automated testing, exception reporting, dashboards, and management insights.
The ideal candidate will have advanced SQL, Sigma Computing BI Tools knowledge and data analytics skills, strong knowledge of consumer financial protection requirements, and the ability to translate FDCPA, Regulation F, UDAAP, FCRA, TCPA, state collection laws, client requirements, and internal policies into effective monitoring routines, control reports, and transaction-testing methodologies.

Job Description:
Compliance Analyst
Compliance Monitoring, Transaction Testing & Data Analytics
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated compliance monitoring programs, transaction testing routines, exception reports, control reports, dashboards, and key risk indicators.
- Use SQL, Sigma Computing BI Tools, and other analytical tools to extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze large servicing, operational, and compliance datasets.
- Design data-driven testing methodologies to evaluate compliance with FDCPA, Regulation F, UDAAP, FCRA, TCPA, state collection laws, client requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
- Analyze business processes, workflows, operational performance, and control environments to identify compliance risks, operational gaps, control deficiencies, and downstream impacts.
- Investigate exceptions, control failures, operational issues, and data anomalies through root cause analysis and business process evaluation.
- Evaluate corrective actions and remediation efforts through validation testing, follow-up analysis, and ongoing monitoring.
Reporting, Risk Management & Remediation
- Prepare recurring compliance reports, dashboards, executive summaries, board materials, and management reporting covering trends, risks, remediation status, priorities, escalations, and key decisions.
- Monitor compliance trends, emerging risks, dependencies, and issue status; provide actionable recommendations for corrective action and process improvement.
- Partner with Operations, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Vendor Management, and third-party servicers to identify, assess, and remediate operational risks and control gaps.
- Support reporting methodologies, data governance practices, report validation, control documentation, and audit-ready evidence retention.
Licensing, Examinations & Department Support
- Support state licensing maintenance, regulatory filings, licensing reviews, examinations, audits, regulator inquiries, client audits, and quality assurance reviews.
- Coordinate information requests, document production, examination responses, remediation tracking, and follow-up activities.
Support regulatory change management initiatives, compliance investigations, policy and procedure updates, special projects, and process improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Compliance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced SQL proficiency and experience analyzing large, complex operational, servicing, compliance, or risk datasets.
- Experience developing compliance, operational, risk, exception, control, or management reporting.
- Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, root cause analysis, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in debt buying, debt collection, receivables management, consumer finance, banking, fintech, or another regulated industry preferred.
- Knowledge of FDCPA, Regulation F, UDAAP, FCRA, TCPA, CFPB regulations, bankruptcy requirements, state collection laws, regulatory examinations, remediation management, vendor oversight, and regulatory change management preferred.
Experience with Sigma Computing BI Tools, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms preferred.
