Your day at Trim Landscaping:

To be successful in this position, you will work well as part of a team, enjoy working outdoors, and be able to perform strenuous physical tasks. Day-to-day you will be working with a crew of 2-3 people with varied experience in construction and landscaping. You will be working on a variety of projects that could include laying pavers, planting trees, building retaining walls, pouring concrete or constructing a deck.


Job Requirements:

  • No formal education is required, although a high school diploma may be preferred.
  • 1-2 years working in landscape construction or similar experience
  • Willingness to undertake training if necessary.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites



Responsibilities:

  • Assist various crews, such as carpenters, hardscapers and cement finishers in construction activities.
  • Assist in the execution of construction, maintenance, or winter work projects as directed by the Crew Leader.
  • Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and aid in other activities
  • Regular interaction and promotion of positive relationships with fellow employees, clients, subtrades and suppliers.
  • Attend training and certification workshops as required.
  • Assist in the construction of walkways, patios, sidewalks and curb.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications using rakes and shovels
  • Assist in the installation of lawn, garden beds, retaining walls, driveways etc.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites as directed.
  • Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies and by hand.
  • Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Perform other activities at construction sites as directed.
  • Lift up to 50lbs
  • Operate various tools and equipment including chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills etc.
  • Snow removal in winter months
