Construction Technician

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, learning skilled trades, and contributing to construction projects. The Construction Technician will assist experienced crew members with a variety of construction, installation, maintenance, and site preparation activities while developing the skills necessary for career growth within the construction industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with general construction and labor duties on residential, commercial, or industrial job sites.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and construction materials.
• Prepare and clean work areas to ensure a safe and organized job site.
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools under supervision.
• Assist with demolition, excavation, grading, concrete work, framing, and material installation as needed.
• Follow project plans, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions.
• Measure and cut materials accurately.
• Support equipment operators and skilled trades personnel.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or project concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain punctual attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred

• Previous labor, landscaping, warehouse, manufacturing, or construction experience.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license.
