A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Consultant Family Medicine with a recognized Western Board certification to join its multidisciplinary medical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary and continuing care to patients across different age groups, with a strong focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and evidence-based family healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive family medicine consultations and ongoing patient care.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Provide preventive healthcare, health screening, and lifestyle counselling.
• Manage patients with common chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory disorders.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and ensure continuity of care.
• Perform appropriate clinical procedures within the scope of training and privileges.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning.
• Support clinical quality, patient safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Provide health education and counselling to patients and families.
• Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine.
• Western Board certification in Family Medicine or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Eligibility for or a valid DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant licence.
• Relevant clinical experience appropriate for Consultant-level practice.
• Current Good Standing Certificate and verifiable professional credentials.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
