We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time for our client based in Plymouth, Devon. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.
What will your responsibilities be?
This role is based within a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), focusing on adult psychiatry. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality psychiatric care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and formulating individualised treatment plans. The successful candidate must hold Section 12 approval and be listed on the Specialist Register with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). You will be expected to act as the Responsible Clinician (RC), participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Full GMC registration (essential)
• Section 12 approval
• CCT and inclusion on the Specialist Register
• Experience in adult psychiatry, particularly within community settings
• Strong clinical and communication skills
