Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist – Brain Injury Medicine to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized care for patients with traumatic and acquired brain injuries, focusing on diagnosis, rehabilitation, recovery planning, and improving long-term patient outcomes through multidisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), acquired brain injuries, and related neurological conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans based on patient needs.
  • Monitor neurological recovery and functional outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurologists, neurosurgeons, rehabilitation specialists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.
  • Manage cognitive, behavioral, and functional impairments following brain injury.
  • Participate in patient and family education regarding recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term care.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and clinical records.
  • Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and continuous medical education

Requirements

  • Medical degree with a recognized specialization in Brain Injury Medicine, Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or related specialty.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-specialty experience in brain injury management or rehabilitation.
  • Strong knowledge of neurological assessment, rehabilitation principles, and multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
