Consultant / Specialist - Cardiac Surgery

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist – Cardiac Surgery to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide expert surgical care for patients with cardiovascular conditions, perform complex cardiac procedures, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with cardiac and thoracic conditions and determine appropriate surgical interventions.
• Perform cardiac surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve surgeries, and other complex cardiovascular surgeries.
• Provide pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative management.
• Manage critically ill cardiac patients in collaboration with intensive care and cardiology teams.
• Monitor patient recovery and provide follow-up care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions and clinical decision-making.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education activities.
• Mentor and support junior medical staff where applicable.

Requirements

• Medical degree with a recognized specialization in Cardiac Surgery / Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialty experience.
• Proven experience in advanced cardiac surgical procedures.
• Strong clinical judgment and surgical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a high-performance, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
