Consultant / Specialist - Pediatric Surgeon

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist – Pediatric Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will provide specialized surgical care to infants, children, and adolescents, managing a wide range of congenital, developmental, and acquired surgical conditions while ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide surgical management for pediatric patients with congenital and acquired conditions.
• Perform pediatric surgical procedures and provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Manage emergency pediatric surgical cases and complex clinical conditions.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Provide counseling and education to patients’ families regarding treatment options and surgical outcomes.
• Monitor patient recovery and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and continuing medical education activities.
• Support and mentor junior medical staff where applicable.

Requirements

• Medical degree with a recognized specialization in Pediatric Surgery.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialty experience.
• Strong expertise in pediatric surgical procedures and patient management.
• Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
