Overview

The client is looking for a Content Strategist to support their team with search-focused content across long-form assets. This person will be the SEO and GEO lens on the work: shaping keyword strategy, sharpening headlines, and reviewing vendor-delivered content so it performs in traditional search and in generative AI experiences. Much of this content will live on third-party sites, so the right person understands how to make content discoverable and credible beyond owned channels.

What You'll Do

• Own keyword research and planning for long-form content, identifying target terms, search intent, and topic opportunities
• Develop and refine headlines, titles, meta descriptions, and content structure for SEO performance
• Partner closely with an external content vendor, providing clear briefs, direction, and feedback
• Review vendor deliverables for SEO and GEO best practices, including keyword usage, structure, readability, and how well content is positioned to surface in AI-generated answers
• Manage a steady workload of roughly 10 assets per week while keeping quality and turnaround consistent
• Optimize content for publication on third-party sites, keeping the client's standards in mind for each platform
• Flag trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve content performance over time

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in content strategy, SEO content, or editorial roles
• Strong working knowledge of SEO fundamentals: keyword research, search intent, on page optimization, and headline strategy
• Familiarity with GEO (generative engine optimization) and how content gets surfaced by AI search tools
• Experience writing, editing, or strategizing long form content such as articles, guides, and explainers
• Experience managing or reviewing work from vendors or agencies, with a clear and constructive feedback style
• Comfort with SEO tools such as  Google Search Console, or similar
• Experience publishing or optimizing content for third party or syndicated platforms is a plus
• Financial services experience is a plus
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to keep a high volume workflow moving
