Copywriter

The purpose of this role is to conceptualise and realise ideas through a comprehensive use of language and the written word. They have the ability to think in a holistic way about how an idea comes to life through all creative channels of a consumer experience. Develops language and copy in short form and long form to establish the tonality of ideas. They can act as mentor to junior members of the team and encourage learning.

Job Description:

1. Regularly push for creative excellence in your own work.

Have at least 3 pieces of work by the end of the year that you are truly proud of. If those pieces are able to bring in recognition from the brand or from the fraternity (basically win awards), nothing like it.

2. Demonstrate ownership for the brands you regularly work on.

Own up the BAU work along with the campaigns. Try to front relationships not just within the agency but also with the clients. Become the face of the brand for all possible creative work that is going out.

3. Establish healthy working relationships with other divisions to ensure smooth functioning in day-to-day work.

To put it simply, work hand in glove with the servicing and the strategy team to push work forward.

4. Demonstrate teamwork by effectively collaborating with other members of the team.

Pitch in when required to help out. Especially on pitches on special projects.

5. Work on proactive ideas that put both the brand and the agency on the map.

Great ideas sometimes don’t need briefs. Pitch, own and see through proactive ideas that can put the agency on the map.
