The Deloitte Tax team provides advice on all aspects of taxation, including corporate tax return preparation and review, international tax, transfer pricing, transaction assistance (including mergers and acquisitions and tax due diligence), structuring and governance.

We are looking for Senior Consultant/Managers to join our Corporate Tax teams. The teams are Auckland based and are the best at what they do. Being part of this team, you will have the opportunity to do interesting work for interesting clients and grow your career in tax.

The impact you’ll make: 

As a Senior Consultant/Manager you will have the opportunity to do interesting work for interesting clients and grow your career in tax. Your typical day will include:

• Helping clients mitigate risk, meet compliance obligations and statutory deadlines and realise business goals.
• Getting to know clients and their businesses.
• Advising on a wide range of corporate tax matters.
• Analysis of current and pending tax legislation to client transactions.
• Preparing / reviewing corporate tax returns.
• Assisting clients in the resolution of tax disputes. 
• Interpreting, analysing and researching technical tax issues (using our AI platform to help!).
• Inputting into corporate and international tax policy issues.
• Coaching and developing junior members of the team.
• Improving work efficiency, effectiveness and client service by using technology tools.
• Having fun with the team!

Qualifications

Your expertise: 

Bring your expertise in corporate tax and see what impact you can make.  

You will have:

• 3+ years’ New Zealand corporate tax and compliance experience
• Preferably current or recent experience in a Big 4/ mid tier environment
• Technical tax knowledge
• Proven ability to building strong relationships with clients & colleagues
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• An energetic and proactive attitude
• Ability to learn and adapt
• Serve as a role model for integrity, respect and appreciation of others, including their unique strengths and differences
• A keenness to learn and grow your career
