Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Control Engineer to oversee, monitor, and control project expenditures. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Procurement, and the Finance team to provide accurate financial forecasting, variance analysis, and comprehensive cost reporting.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Baseline: Develop, review, and maintain project baseline budgets and cash flow projections.
- Cost Monitoring & Control: Monitor daily expenditures, commitments, and track actual costs against the approved budget.
- Variance Analysis: Identify cost variances early, determine root causes, and propose corrective actions to management.
- Reporting: Prepare periodic financial reports, including Cash Flow status, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), and cost-to-complete forecasts.
- Change Management: Evaluate the financial impact of variation orders (VOs) and claims, integrating them into the budget.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering.
- Experience: [1-3] years of solid experience as a Cost Control Engineer, specifically within the construction or contracting industry.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and ERP systems.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, strong negotiation skills, and high attention to detail.
- Certifications (Preferred): CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or PMP is a strong plus.
