Culler CLC Support Specialist

Position Summary:

TheCLC Support Specialistis responsible forproviding a safe, positive, developmentallyappropriate learningenvironment for sixth through eighth grade students.This employee willoversee and implement interactive activities and clubs, approved by the Site Director and work in tandem to offer enrichmentopportunities aligned with the Malone Center mission and vision.

Essential Job Functions

• Champion the Malone Center mission and vision in all engagements and interactions, both internal and external to the organization.

• Supervise and mentor program youth while modelingappropriate behaviorand language.

• Participates in activities and club opportunities that encourage active participation.

• Actively build relationships with the youth and community we are serving.

• Lead group activities as needed or requested.

• Report and submit allincidents and accidents with the Site Supervisor/Program Director.

• Assist Club Leaders and Community partners with daily programing; actively mitigating and preventing unwanted behaviors.

• Monitor Entrance and Exit points to ensure safety and security. 

• Provide positive interactions and behavior management through positive reinforcement, reminders, redirection, and restorative justice practices.

• Perform daily opening and closing tasks to completion.

• Maintain the cleanliness of all indoor and outdoor program areas.

• Assistwith family engagement and home-school-communitypartnerships.

• Engage in other duties as assigned.

Educationand Experience

• High school diploma or GED.

• Demonstrated experience serving children and families from marginalized communities.

• Ability to develop rapport with diverse populations.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Attend all mandatorytrainings. 

• Pre-employment background checks and fingerprinting

• Valid Nebraska driver’s license andacceptabledriving record.

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Scheduling

Monday - Friday

2:30 - 6:00 p.m.

LPS School Days

The pay range for this role is:

15.00 - 15.00 USD per hour
