What You’ll Be Doing:
As a **Dairy/Herd Health Veterinarian **, your work will focus on providing high-quality, preventive, and production-oriented care to large dairy herds. A typical day may include:
- Early morning herd health visits
- Reproductive work, pregnancy checks, and managing mastitis cases
- Preventive herd health programs, vaccines, and disease surveillance
- Certifying health documents (brucellosis, TB, etc.)
- Obstetrics, including fetal extractions and occasional C-sections
- Consulting with producers on herd management, production, and operations
- Maintaining strong, trusting client relationships built over years of service
- Participating in an on-call rotation (every 4th weekend) for emergency support
This is a 100% farm call role, serving herds that range from 3,000–5,000 cows,
Compensation & Benefits:
- **Salary: $125k–$135k **, depending on experience + Production
