We're looking for a Data Cabling & Network Installation Engineer to join our growing installation team. This is a field-based role working on projects across the UK, installing structured cabling and network infrastructure in a wide range of commercial environments.

No previous experience in data cabling is essential – we will provide full training for the right candidate.

🏢The Role:

You'll be travelling to customer sites throughout the UK, installing and maintaining structured cabling and network infrastructure for commercial clients.

Projects are typically carried out in:

• Schools and colleges
• Office buildings
• Manufacturing facilities
• Warehouses
• Distribution centres
• Other commercial premises

As travel is a key part of the role, overnight accommodation is provided Monday to Friday when required.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Install structured cabling including Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A.
• Install fibre optic cabling, including pre-terminated fibre.
• Install and terminate network outlets.
• Install wireless access points (WAPs).
• Install IP CCTV cameras and associated network equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify faults on structured cabling systems.
• Install containment systems including trunking, PVC and steel conduit, cable tray, and basket.
• Install AV equipment including large format displays and interactive screens.
• Deliver a professional, courteous, and efficient service to customers.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and health & safety on every project.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
• Competent using hand and power tools.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away Monday to Friday when required.

Desirable Qualifications

The following are advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided:

• ECS or CSCS Card.
• IPAF
• PASMA
• Experience with structured cabling installations.
• Fibre optic installation experience.
• AV installation experience.
• Network infrastructure or CCTV installation experience.
