OVERVIEW

As part of Inspire’s digital transformation and customer engagement strategy, we are expanding our data science capabilities. To achieve this, we require experienced data scientists who can help us deliver new AI and machine learning solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF DATA SCIENCE MANAGER

• Manage a team of data scientists focused on marketing, personalization, and recommender systems.
• Work closely with digital marketing and CRM teams.
• Familiarity with various team management styles including Scrum, Agile, Kanban.
• Manage 2 direct reports (data scientists).

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

• MINIMUM requirement options:
  • Master’s degree in a STEM field with 4+ years of relevant work experience​ OR ​
  • PhD in a STEM field with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• PREFERRED:
  • Master’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant work experience​. Experience managing multiple individual contributors.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Must demonstrate ability to manage stakeholders, capacity to think strategically, and aptitude to coach, mentor, and manage highly technical FTEs.
• Deep working knowledge of relational databases.
• English Proficiency required.
• Must be proficient in at least 3 of the 6 tools:​ Spark, Python, R, SQL, Git Version Control, AWS/Azure/GCP.
