About this role

Metropolitan Companies is looking for a Database Administrator to join our team! The Database administrator is responsible for analyzing and maintaining data from vendors. Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain process maps and pricing data from vendors.
  • Coordinate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database servers and applications.
  • Analyze and identify errors presented in databases and applications, in turn determine the root cause and possible solutions.
  • Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support.
  • Coordinate and communicate with vendor IT departments.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Competencies:
  • Ability to organize/analyze large volumes of data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to function well in a team environment, display professional maturity and interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, including the ability to make clear and timely decisions.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree ideal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn various in-house software applications.
  • Aptitude to work with minimal supervision, set goals, create, and implement action plans and monitor progress towards goals.
  • Prior experience in IT related role.
